How AI is helping government school students learn English

The Times of India – Education Times recently published a news article talking about the impact of the RightToRead programme implemented by EnglishHelper. This programme uses a multi-sensory reading comprehension AI software – ReadToMe® to enhance reading and comprehension among students of public schools.

EnglishHelper has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Intel to provide the software to approx 25000 government-run schools. The programme integrates into the prescribed curriculum of schools and leverages the existing IT infrastructure to make learning possible for students across grades.

Students learning with ReadToMe® have shown an improvement of nearly 20-40% in their English language skills.

Sanjay Gupta, the Global CEO of EnglishHelper shares the goal of the program. Akanksha Bilani of Intel feels that this programme can become a great equaliser for underprivileged children.
